Here is the full listing of Irish social dancing opportunities in the Twin Cities.
It's a whole lot of fun, it's great exercise, and to whichever of these places you go,
you'll be dancing with a lot of really nice people. Come by yourself and make new
friends, or bring a friend or several.

Monday Night Irish Ceili Dancing
  Merlins Rest Every Monday, from 7:00 to 8:45 PM we dance some of the more
  elaborate ceili figure dances. If you've learned the steps and some of the dances
  at    other locations, come along and join us, or just come to watch us and enjoy
  the food   and drink. This is not a class, although we go over the movements as

Tuesday night Irish set dance classes
Every Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:15pm.
   The Celtic Junction - 836 N. Prior Ave in St. Paul.  This class is designed to
   promote the fun, healthful and community-building aspects of Irish traditional
   social dance.  No partner is required and beginners are welcome at any class. 
   The classes are taught by karen Cieminski of Loma Mor Irish Dance Club.

Wednesday night Irish céilí dance classes
Learn the basic steps, and then join in the dances. All Ages. Free.
  Conway Recreation Center - 2090 Conway Street in Saint Paul. This class is
  held in a park and recreation gym, and is taught by a trio of fine dancers/
  instructors, Ginny, Becky, and Dan, who will provide plenty of special attention
  for your particular   level of experience. The class runs from 7:00 to 8:30.
  Dubliner Irish Pub - 2162 University Avenue in Saint Paul. Learn Irish dancing
  in a   genuine Irish Pub with a wooden floor that has known a whole lot of dancing
  feet. Steps and dances are taught by Súin Lowary, with some dances not com-
  monly done else-where. The class runs from 7:00 to 9:00, with more dancing after-
  ward to live music by Tom Dahill and the Chancers.
  Midtown Global Market - East Lake Street and Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis.
  Look for the big green neon letters that say MIDTOWN and dance right in the heart
  of south Minneapolis. Come early for the basic steps, and learn the reels and the
  jigs with experienced dancers plus newcomers who discover us while out for dinner
  or shopping. Steps and dances are taught by Paul McCluskey. The class runs from
  6:30 to 8:30.

Friday night Irish set dance classes
Fridays monthly, 7:30pm

   Set Dancing, potluck, and sing-along- at a private home in Northfield.  This is an
   authentic Irish house party with set dancing.  Beginners are welcome.

Community Education Ceili Dance Classes
We concentrate on the basic steps and then learn some of the dances that you can
do at the big monthly ceili dances, as well as some of the 4, 6, or 8 person figure
dances.
  Mondays at Central High School in Saint Paul - Five week course starting

  Mondays at Central Middle School in Wayzata - 305 Vicksburg Lane. Fall and
  Winter classes. Six week courses. The time is 7:00 to 8:30. Go to

Regular monthly céilí dances
Whether you've learned the steps and dances at any of the above classes, or
are a complete novice, you are welcome to join the fun with live traditional Irish
music provided by our very fine local musicians. Each dance we do is taught by
the caller, and there are always plenty of experienced dancers to help newcomers
along. We love newcomers - this is a non-scowling activity.
  First Saturday Afternoon Ceili - Dubliner Pub, 2162 University Avenue in
  St Paul, from 2:00 to 5:00. This dance is free, but remember to tip the bartender.
  The dances are taught and called by Paul McCluskey.
  Second Sunday Night Ceili with the Doon Ceili Band - Eagles Club,
  2507 East 25th Street in Minneapolis, from 7:30 to 10:30. This dance features
  both set and ceili dances. The suggested donation is $5.00. The set dances are
  taught and called by Tim McAndrew.
  Third Saturday Night Ceili - Odd Fellows Hall, 2380 Hampden Avenue in
  St Paul, from 7:30 to 10:30. The suggested donation is just $3.00 per person.
