The Irish Music & Dance Association offers educational grants to help students of any age to pursue an interest in the traditional arts of Ireland. Grants are used for classes, fees, travel expenses, equipment purchases or other purpose which supports the applicant's learning.
Our goal is to help students who love Irish music or dance to continue their study and to share their interest with others. We ask grant recipients to bring their new skills back to our community by performing at an IMDA event.
since its start in 2006, the program has made numerous grants to muscians, dancers and a teacher of the Gaelic language. The recipients used their grants for travel expenses, to purchase an instrument and for classes.
IMDA funds the Educational Grant Program with proceeds from its annual St. Patrick's Day Irish Celebration and Day of Irish Dance at Landmark Center, 'IMDA Honors' events, private donations and from other events during the year.
We welcome your help in expanding the program. 100% of your gift to the Educational Grant Program is used to help aspiring musicians, dancers and other students of Ireland's traditional arts. Your donation is also 100% tax deductible.
